Friday Finds No. 18

Happy Friday! I am just having myself a day over here and soaking in having not only a Friday off, but a four day weekend. When you go into a profession that requires you to work every other weekend, you learn to appreciate and love your weekends even more than before! I am planning on soaking up every minute of the next four days and spending time with the people I love. What could be better. I hope your weekend is looking just as great, and you have some fun plans in store. Enjoy!

A World with John Mayer // As I'm sure you all know by now, John Mayer released his newest album last week and it's amazing to say the very least. If you haven't listened to it yet... go do it! I came across this interview NPR did with John Mayer recently, and I found it really interesting. John Mayer has always been one of my favorite artists and this interview really allowed a glimpse into his mind and world, which is something we as fans don't always get. If you are fan of John Mayer, definitely go check it out.

Girl Power // I hope you all had fun keeping up with all things Boston Marathon related this past week! There is something so so inspiring about marathons - regardless of whether or not you are a runner. One of my favorite quotes has something to do with running and goes something like this, "If you're ever losing faith in human nature, go out and watch a marathon." Honest to God, I don't think anything could be more true. If you've watched or participated in a marathon, I'm sure you now exactly what that means, and if you haven't had the opportunity to watch one... do it. Nothing could be more inspiring or show you just how good people are. There were so so many stories of inspiration that came out of the Boston Marathon this past week, but this one was one of my favorites. Absolute and total girl power! Such a rock star. Go read and you'll know what I'm talking about.

A Word on Being Done // This one is coming right from my girl Maxie - so you know it's going to be good. I won't do to much talking, I'll save that for Maxie, but I think this feeling of 'being so done' is something that we can all relate to in one capacity or another. It doesn't always feel great in the moment, but this feeling of being done is actually a positive and can drive you forward in the best of ways. Go read and soak in all of Maxie's words of wisdom to see how 'being done' is power.
