My Favorites from Miami

One week ago I was soaking up that Florida sunshine and living the life in Miami! Other than knowing that I was going to get some beautiful weather, I didn't know much of what to expect from Miami. To be honest, I wasn't sure if Miami was really my "scene" for lack of a better word, but I was very impressed. My only regret was that I didn't have enough time to explore everything Miami has to offer. Needless to say I will definitely be back!I was only there for about three full days, but it definitely was enough time to get a taste of the city and what it has to offer. I definitely left wanting more, but the beautiful thing is I'll just have to plan another trip back at some point! Not mad about that one bit. I wasn't able to do everything on my list, but the things I did do I loved and wanted to share them with you all! If you've never been to Miami, I highly recommend it. I think there is something for everyone, and if not at the very least it is a beautiful place to escape to in the cold winter months! Enjoy!

FOOD

Watr at the 1 Rooftop
Definitely recommend checking out this spot! It's located on the 1 Hotel rooftop, which has beautiful views of both the Miami skyline & the ocean. We ate dinner there- the food was fantastic - but it would also be an amazing spot to grab a drink around sunset!

PM Fish & Steak House
If you're looking for an amazing steak dinner then I highly recommend this restaurant. I had the most amazing steak here, and the service was exceptional. Keep in mind that it is a little more upscale - it would be great for a special occasion or a fancy night out!

Lolo's Surf Cantina
This was one of my favorite spots we ate at the entire week! I'm a sucker for good tacos and these were some of the best! It's super casual with a really fun atmosphere and outdoor seating, which was lovely to be able to dine al fresco.

Coyo Taco
Sadly didn't make it to this one, but both my sister and I got recommendations from different people, so you know it must be good. I will for sure be checking it out next time!

Upland
Another one that was on my list to check out but I never got to! Also have heard great things about this one, which is described as a California inspired culinary creations. On the plus side, there is one in NYC which I will be checking out soon!

THINGS TO DO

Walk Along the Boardwalk
There is a boardwalk that runs right along the beach, which makes for a beautiful walk or run. The views of that crystal clear blue Miami water are stunning, and it was really fun to check out the other hotels located right on the beach.

Rent Bikes and Go for a Ride
I noticed that many hotels had bikes for their guests to use, but there are also Citi Bikes all over that are super easy to rent! My sister and I took a bike ride along Collins Ave. and the boardwalk and it was one of my favorite things we did.

Have a Beach Day
I am not lying when I tell you the ocean water was like bath water & was absolutely beautiful! I think spending one day on the beach is a must, and is something everyone can do regardless of if you are staying at an oceanfront hotel or not.

Explore Miami's Other Neighborhoods
There is much more to Miami than just South Beach! This is something I wish I had had more time to do, and will definitely be doing my next trip back to Miami. The Wynwood district is full of art and culture with galleries, museums, and tons of street art, and the Miami Design District is a must see if you are into high fashion, design, and architecture!

HOTELS

Cadillac Hotel and Beach Club
I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel! It was very luxurious & upscale with amazing service & amenities, it truly felt like staying at a luxury hotel. The plus is it is much more reasonably priced and you aren't spending an arm & a leg like you would be at other places with similar vibes. It's a win-win! I would one hundred percent recommend this hotel & will be staying there again without a doubt!

If you have an unlimited budget then I would recommend both the 1 Hotel South Beach and the Miami Beach EDITION. I checked out both while in Miami, needless to say I was impressed, and both have glowing reviews!
