Summertime Key Lime Pie

Is there anything better than a slice of key lime pie on a summer day? I don't think so! There is just nothing quite like it. It has always been one of my favorite summertime desserts, and something I look forward to once the summer months roll around. 

I had not had it yet this season, and seeing as it was my mom's birthday last week and key lime pie is her favorite, I decided to make it for her. It came out delicious and let me tell you, it was so easy to make! Not to mention, it is just the prettiest. 

Since we are still in the heart of summer, I figured I would share the recipe with you in case you want to give it a try yourself. I highly recommend it for your next summer soirĂ©e or for when you're just craving a little something sweet! Check out the recipe below and enjoy! 


9" graham cracker pie shell
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup lime juice 

Combine milk, egg yolks, and lime juice. 
Pour filling into pie shell and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Allow to stand 10 minutes before refrigerating. 
Just before serving, top with freshly whipped cream and garnish with lime slices.
