Faith & Fancy : Weekend Getaway in Portland, ME.

As most of you know, a couple weekends ago I spent the weekend away up in Portland, Maine for a little weekend getaway. I had been to Portland quite a few times prior but this time I was taking my parents with me! I have love, love, loved Portland from the moment I was introduced to it a few years back, and ever since then I have raved about it to my parents. Needless to say, I was thrilled to have them with me this trip!

My boyfriend grew up in Portland, and I can thank him (thanks Matt!) for being the reason why I know and love this cute little city. It really is a gem of New England, and I think in recent years people have started catching on to all it has to offer! It has everything you could ask for from a city plus all the coastal charm that comes with residing right on the coast. It is a fun destination all year round, but especially during the summer months.

It is no surprise that the weekend spent up in Vacationland was just about as perfect as they come. Although our stay was short, we made the most of the time we had there with both family friends and my boyfriend's family, which were both a cherry on top of the weekend. We ate so much good food (so much), shopped in the cutest little boutiques, and spent time on and by the sea. Maine itself and the coastline in particular are just beautiful and it was such a treat to be able to walk & drive around exploring all it's beauty.

For those of you in the New England area, I cannot recommend a getaway to Portland enough! For those of you not from around, if you ever find yourselves in New England I strongly suggest a trip up to Maine, even if just for a few days. Maine is truly some of the best New England has to offer! I figured I would share some of my favorite things to do, see, and of course eat for that future trip.
