Cinco de Mayo Inspired Cocktail

Hi guys, happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend - I had the best time spending the weekend in the City. No place I love more! In all honestly this post was supposed to go up Friday. I had every intention of getting it up on Cinco de Mayo, but I was battling twenty hours of no sleep and it won. Note to self: don’t attempt to write a post laying in bed the day after working a night shift. Needless to say, I feel asleep and didn’t wake up until Saturday morning, so you all get this Cinco de Mayo inspired post today!

Although I would've loved to have gotten this post up on Cinco de Mayo itself,  I don’t feel too badly about getting it up today. It’s a super yummy grapefruit margarita recipe that can be enjoyed at any time, not just on Cinco de Mayo! It’s the perfect cocktail for the warmer months coming up and would pair perfectly with some chips and guac. Seriously one of my favorite summertime activities!

I don’t know about you guys, but I love grapefruits - especially when paired with lime juice and tequila. This recipe embodies everything I love about a citrus cocktail. The tart and the sweet complement each other perfectly, and the chili powder, sugar, and salt rim provide the perfect finishing of flavor. It is so good!! And did I mention it’s super easy to make? A win-win in my book!

The recipe is listed below - ingredients, directions, and all! I hope you check it out and make it for your next Taco Tuesday, or just when you’re craving a good marg! Enjoy!
