Elizabeth Park Rose Garden

Last week I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon in one of the most beautiful gardens I've ever been in. As I'm sure many of you already know, I love flowers and I especially love roses. Nothing makes me happier than their delicate beauty & fragrance, and I am a firm believer we should treat ourselves to a bouquet every now and then. There is truly no better pick-me-up! Needless to say, spending the afternoon surrounded by thousands of roses truly felt like heaven!

I can't believe that I have lived in Connecticut my entire life and had never been to this garden before, let alone even known that it existed. I'm a little late to the game, but better late than never I guess! For my fellow Connecticut readers, this rose garden is located in Elizabeth Park in West Hartford. The roses are in bloom at the end of June and early July, so if you are interested in checking it out, head there soon! It's the perfect way to spend a morning or afternoon, and with West Hartford center right around the corner, you could easily make a fun day out of it - think shopping & lunch as well!
