A To-Do List for 2021

I don't do resolutions, but come the new year I do make a list of things I want to accomplish. A to-do list of sorts! Resolutions seem so lofty and unattainable, but a to-do list keeps me on track and contains things that can actually be crossed off. It's what I've been doing for the past few years now, and it's what works for me!

Bring back 'Things that Spark Joy' as a weekly series.

These were some of my favorite posts of the past year. They gave me so much hope during the worst of covid. As things got better, I sadly stopped keeping up with these posts. But the truth is that all the things that sparked joy were still there. I want to continue to highlighting them at all times, not just in times of trouble. It is my hopes that at the end of this year,  I will have fifty-two posts of all the things that sparked joy in 2021 - what a beautiful thing that will be.

Learn to embrace winter running.

2020 was the year I finally felt like I became a runner. I plan on keeping that momentum going into this new year, which means learning to embrace running during the winter months. Running in the cold is something I've never done. Truth is, I've just always assumed I don't like it. While I may not love it, it is something I can embrace and find the good in. My love of running makes bundling up worth it!

Read twenty-four books this year.

You may remember, last year my plan was to read just twelve books over the course of the year. Well I smashed that goal- thanks covid! I read twenty-one books last year, so I've decided to shoot for twenty-four books in 2021.

Practice French at least once a week.

This was a new hobby I picked up during quarantine, and it brought me so much joy. I was inconsistent with it at best, but I want to make it part of my routine. It is fun, enriching, and like I said, something that really brings me joy. It is such a good way to spend some time, and who knows, maybe I'll be able to string together a few sentences by the end of the year!

Continue to educate myself on ways to be anti-racist and to be any ally.

Twenty twenty taught us that we have to do more. It is not enough to do nothing. I want to keep educating myself on how I can be better. I encourage you to do the same!

Up my finance game & knowledge.

I know the basics of finances, but I feel like there is so more I could be doing with my money! My basic knowledge alone isn't enough to figure this out, so getting some professional guidance or reading some books might be the next best step. I'll keep you posted on what I discover!

Shoot & share my bedroom on Faith & Fancy.

It is so close to being done! I am waiting on one piece of art to be delivered, but once it's here and up on the wall,  I will share this beautiful space with you all. It is my favorite!

Learn to needlepoint.

I most definitely don't consider myself a crafty person, so this will be both a challenge and a way to change that! I've always admired needlepoint work, and think it will be a fun new hobby to pick up in this new year.

Get back to traveling when it is safe to do so.
