Fall Bucket List

Happy Friday friends and happy first day of fall! As sad as I am to see summer come to a close, the arrival of fall makes saying goodbye a little bit easier. Today marks the official first day of fall - yay! - and I thought it would be fun to share what I have on my to-do list this fall. For those, of you in the New England area, you know that the weather doesn’t seem to want to let go of summer either. As much as I love the warm weather, I am definitely ready for some cooler fall temps around here! I’m hoping that day is right around the corner and I can enjoy some of the activities on my list in some more seasonal weather.

Attend a Fair // I’m in luck - and may have already checked this off my list! We are officially in full blown fair season here in New England & Connecticut. Having grown up in little Durham, Connecticut anyone that knows me knows that I have a special place in my heart for fairs. Durham’s claim to fame is the Durham Fair, which is the largest fair in Connecticut and happens to be this weekend. For those of you in New England, the Big E is a great place to get your fair fix and all the fair food!

Fall Foliage Drive // It doesn't get any better than fall foliage in New England. You just can't beat it. Although I am lucky enough to see the colors of autumn without leaving my hometown, there is nothing like a little road trip

Homemade Fall Sangria // I had the best fall sangria a couple years back - think an intermingling of Merlot, cinnamon, and apple flavors (yum!) - and I’ve been dying to try and recreate it. I’m on a mission to find a good recipe and you bet I’ll share it when I do. Stay tuned!

Carve Pumpkins // I know this one probably sounds quite unoriginal, however, this is something I surprisingly haven’t done in years. Between being away at school during the fall and just being busy, I haven’t actually carved a pumpkin since probably high school! Far too long in my book, and something I’m insisting on doing this year. There is nothing better than watching your pumpkins glow!

Create Fall Reading List // There are so many books on my nightstand and at this point scattered around my bedroom that I really want to read. On top of that there are so many books that I don't own yet, but that I am equally interested in reading. It's safe to say there just isn't enough time in the day to get through them all! With fall upon us, I am confident I will have much more time to catch up on the books I already have and the ones on my list to read. Nothing better than getting cozy on a crisp fall morning with a cup of coffee and good book!

Apple Cider & Apple Cider Donuts // Do I need to say more!? This should be on everyone's bucket list this fall. Lucky for me, there is the cutest orchard not far from my house that I plan on making at least one trip to this fall for their to-die-for apple cider donuts!

What is on your fall bucket this? Let me know below!
