Winter in New England

Full transparency guys.. I was initially intending on shooting this look sans coat & winter accessories (I'm wearing this cute sweater underneath!), however winter in New England had a different plan for me. If I remember correctly it was about 18 degrees out the day I shot this look and so the coat and winter gear stayed!

In all honesty, this is the reality of New England winters, and ninety-nine percent of the time I am this bundled up when I head outside. For those of you living in warmer parts of the country, consider yourself blessed! After a few weeks straight of sub 20 degree weather, 35 degree weather is starting to feel like a heat wave. However sadly not quite warm enough to ditch the winter coat, and scarves, and mittens, and hats...

Since winter is here in full swing and looks like it is here to stay, I figured I would share with you some of my winter favorites, which conveniently are for the most part all in the photos above. If I've learned anything growing up in and living in New England for my entire life, it is that you don't have to sacrifice style to stay warm. I swear!
